Defensive Audits

Insurance carriers are not in business to pay claims.  They are in business to make money.  One thing they often do is to insist on auditing high-dollar claims to find “issues” on the claim so that they can reduce the amount they owe to the hospital.  Our auditors are extremely good at finding ADDITIONAL charges as well as defending the charges already billed.

Most of our clients find that requests from carriers for audits dramatically decrease after we have represented them for a few months.  Not only do we find additional dollars, but we also give our clients feedback and recommendations to clean up any “issues” that they do have.
